Mae Among the Stars by Roda Ahmed and Stasia Burrington is a story of resilience, believing in yourself, and following your dreams. Mae dreams of going into space and becoming an astronaut. She knows it will be hard work, but her parents tell her that if she believes it, dreams it, and works hard for it, she can do it. Despite some people telling her she’ll never become an astronaut, she eventually does, and waves to her mom and dad from the rocket window.
