Pri is a teenager living in America with her mom, who’s from India. She doesn’t know much about her mom’s life before she moved to America, and her mom doesn’t tell her much about India, so Pri doesn’t feel very connected to her culture. When she finds a magical pashmina in her mom’s old suitcase, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and ends up learning about her culture and her mom’s life. A great book by Nidhi Chanani with themes about finding identity, teenage angst, and connection.
