We are thrilled to partner with Miss San Joaquin County, our Literacy Champion! Emily Grimmius is a fearless advocate for students across California, and has created the Read Dream Succeed Initiative to promote literacy and inspire all students to achieve their goals.
Emily says, “The Children’s Book Project is doing the crucial work to increase literacy equity by providing free books to children who need them. When students do not master basic reading skills by third grade, they are exponentially more likely to drop out of school. I want to see every California student read, dream, and succeed in their ambitions. Together, the Children’s Book Project and I will increase literacy equity and provide books directly to students.”
